Unfortunately, per the manufacturer, Sanofi Pasteur they will not be distributing any FLUBLOK for the 2023/2024 Flu season. They’ve indicated that due to concerns/discrepancies with potency, the FDA will not approve distribution of the vaccine.
While we are disappointed, there is no better option than to provide and receive FLUZONE Quadrivalent. We will be providing FLUZONE Quadrivalent for all patients 6 months of age and older and FLUZONE Quadrivalent High Dose for all patients 65+
100% covered by insurance if your plan covers preventive care.
Only on the dates listed or at the time of a regularly scheduled in-office visit
NO fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea, shortness of breath etc...or exposure to any person with active FLU/COVID symptoms in the last 14 days
Bring photo ID and Insurance Card(s)
Family members are welcome, however, if the insurance company lists a provider (PCP) that is not at PFP, we cannot bill your insurance, they must see that provider for their flu-shot.
The benefits of getting vaccinated at Pinon Family Practice (your medical home) are: to keep your immunization record up-to-date and accurate, to time the administration to allow coverage for the entire flu season (by giving it early, it may not cover you through the Spring) but most important, we know that you are getting the best vaccine available for your age range. Unlike the local pharmacy's, our focus is on efficacy and coverage....PFP stands to only recover the cost of the vaccine and administration (staff time).
